K. Ishiguro-NEVER LET ME GO. Corpi e anime di ricambio.

È stato quasi doloroso arrivare alla “fine”: la fine della storia e la fine della lettura.

Mi ha turbato il mondo in cui la vicenda si svolge. La naturalezza e, alla fine, l’accettazione  del destino loro assegnato rende i protagonisti “speciali”.

Sembrano essere di un altro pianeta: corpi stupendi, ben nutriti e curati, ma destinati allo “smembramento scientifico”, Huxleyani.

 Consapevoli di ciò che li aspetta e tuttavia umani. Intaccati, lacerati, umanizzati dai sentimenti, dalla ricerca di un’identità, dal desiderio di scoperta, di avventura e di sorpresa di fronte all’amore.

Ho sofferto molto durante la lettura di questo libro. Il dolore fisico, le operazioni, il mondo dell’assistenza hanno toccato le mie corde più sensibili.

Ora, a freddo, mi rendo conto di quanto bella sia la storia e soprattutto la progressione degli eventi e la tensione narrativa: tutta interiore, tutta “scavata” nel profondo dell’animo. Il mondo immaginario, l’Utopia, i ricordi belli, sono tutti lì dentro nonostante il corpo viva in un mondo distopico.
